Power and Marriage
At a Holiday Office Party in Midtown I met this 41 year old private equity investor who now lives in San Francisco. He said even though the social life is not nearly as good as in NYC he’s got his pick of incredibly beautiful women. According to him there’s a huge number of successful business women who come to him with business opportunities from all over the country. They have dinner, they talk about the incredible potential of their companies, they drink, discuss how disenchanted they are with their marriage then they hook up. At some point he says he would like to get married again but because of the number of married women he’s been with he finds it incredibly hard to trust any woman.
So my question is: Does absolute power corrupt marriage absolutely?

The guy is correct. The answer lies in his own personality, not in the personality of women in general. He's adulterous, and gets a kick out of it. So he and adulterous women get along well. Inevitably, his wife would be adulterous. And he likes it.
No, the breakdown of the marriage corrupts marriage. Unrealistic
expectations of marriage corrupt marriage. The allowed disintegration of the unity between two people corrupts marriage. Personal selfishness and immaturity corrupts marriage (the good of the individual as oppose to the good of the whole). To me, none of these women nor their businesses should ever be taken seriously or considered "a good investment" by your friend,
not so much for the reasoning that the ideas are unworthy, but the mere fact that not one of these women would ever truly make good leaders in reaching their goals or maximizing the investment for none of them remotely understands the necessary principle of "the good of the whole" (in professional terms meaning- what's good for the company (or investment) first as oppose to what's good for them individually first); it's the same
thing in a marriage (what's good for the marriage/couple/family as a unit or whole first as oppose to ME, ME, ME, ME, ME)! You have to be grown up to be married which means not allowing yourself to become a victim of personal feelings and desires or sudden/passing interests at the expense of the commitment you've made especially when children are involved. Not many people are grown up...gender aside. The one vow I find to be remiss in the
list of those expressed on your wedding day is the one stating, "I vow to hang on for dear life despite the twists and turns that lie ahead and weave into the strands of this vow a no return clause lined with patience,
support, understanding, and the acceptance of my own humanity (as well as my bethroths) as long as it in no way tarnishes the relationship I am committing to with the man or woman who stands before me."
He is sleeping with married women. He is selfish and only thinks about his needes. Those women have there own issues. And he is getting off on it. In hopes his wife will still find him worth much. Homewrecker. I am a single 30yr old unmarried beautiful women. And i hope i never come across such trash.
