Power and Marriage

At a Holiday Office Party in Midtown I met this 41 year old private equity investor who now lives in San Francisco. He said even though the social life is not nearly as good as in NYC he’s got his pick of incredibly beautiful women. According to him there’s a huge number of successful business women who come to him with business opportunities from all over the country. They have dinner, they talk about the incredible potential of their companies, they drink, discuss how disenchanted they are with their marriage then they hook up. At some point he says he would like to get married again but because of the number of married women he’s been with he finds it incredibly hard to trust any woman.

So my question is: Does absolute power corrupt marriage absolutely?
